How does the portrayal of sex in the media affect our thoughts and attitudes towards sex? What stories are we looking at? Is it real? How do we talk about sex in the media?
In this panel discussion, we will talk to intimacy coordinators and actors from both national and international productions to discuss intimacy on film and stage: what can intimacy coordinators teach us about sex?
Intimacy coordinators have the job of being a link between actors and production when it comes to, among other things, nudity, simulated sex or other sexually related content.
They run a trauma-informed practice and are often brought onto a set for scenes with high emotional content where performers or crew may need extra support. But it has not always been this way.
In Norway, this is a relatively new phenomenon.
The panel discussion is led by Alexandra Koren, sexologist, psychotherapist, performer and intimacy coordinator.
Speakers: Megan Gilron, Amanda Liz Cutting and Lexie Koren.
